THE APPLICATION FORMS AND A LIST OF SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE BELOW
We currently offer three types of scholarships. All require completing the 2025 Foundation Scholarship Application, including an essay. Private Scholarships may have additional requirements and/or essay(s). Here is a basic description of the Bucks for Bucs Scholarships. The applications and criteria can be found in the boxes below.
A Bucks for Bucs Foundation Scholarship is an award that is funded by the Bucks for Bucs Educational Foundation Organization. We are looking for students who plan to attend a post-secondary program and have demonstrated excellence in academics, extracurricular activities, leadership, and/or community service. A strong candidate doesn't need to excel in all four areas but will have significant achievements in at least one area and some notable accomplishments in the other three areas. Typically, awards range from $500-$2,000, depending on the fundraisers and donations for the year. To apply for these scholarships, you must submit a completed Foundation Scholarship Application with all supporting documents to Mr. Sean McNally at the Guidance office no later than March 28, 2025. Please get in touch with Bucks for Bucs if you have any questions regarding the application or submitting it.
A Bucks for Bucs named Scholarship is an award given by the Bucks for Bucs organization, but the funds come from one major donor. These scholarships include some legacy scholarship donations and fraternal organizations. The requirements for these scholarships are the same--students must plan to attend a post-secondary program and have demonstrated excellence in academics, extracurricular activities, leadership, and/or community service. Typically awards $500-$1,000. These scholarship winners are chosen from the general pool of applicants, so if you apply for a Foundation Scholarship, you will automatically be considered for these Named Scholarships as well. No additional application is necessary.
A Bucks for Bucs Private Scholarship is an award that is managed by the Bucks for Bucs organization. These scholarships include many legacy donations and some extracurricular organizations. In addition to submitting a Foundation Scholarship application, applicants must meet additional criteria, such as, in many cases, submitting an additional essay. Typically awards range from $500-$2,000. These applications and supporting documentation must be submitted, along with a copy of your completed Foundation Application, Mr. Sean McNally, at the Guidance Office no later than March 28, 2025. Because private scholarships have their own individual selection criteria, it is possible that one student could receive multiple private scholarships and/or a foundation or named scholarship. Please get in touch with Bucks for Bucs if you have questions regarding the private application or submitting the applications. Please check the qualifications for these scholarships by clicking the Private Scholarship Information and Applications button below. If you meet the criteria, you may apply for as many private scholarships as you would like, but you must submit a separate application for each scholarship. Additional applications and essays must be submitted for most, but not all, of these scholarships.
